AFTER our trip to Langkawi, we realised we needed something more portable.
The shortlist: The ever-popular Maclaren Quest, the new-release Peg Perego Pliko XLite, or the super-cool MicraLite.
All three umbrella strollers weighed in about 5-6kg, half of our Stokke's 11kg.
In the end, we picked the Pliko XLite.
Compared the the Quest, it seemed more solid, with bigger wheels and a tougher frame. Plus, it has a huge sunshade. It also reclines quite far back, which is important for baby Z's naps.
Z doesn't mind it but I think she much prefers the Stokke. Umbrella strollers don't seem to offer young babies much support and Z keeps sliding down. Not very comfy.
However, I still have a soft spot for the MicraLite. The material is quite meshy so it's very cool for the baby and the wheels seem quite robust even for an off-road situation. It's very compact too which makes it great for travelling.
But a big minus is the very narrow seat and limited recline. Fail.
