Pets

WE have fish. Fishes.

Named Adam and Luke, after the twins.

Z chose them after breakfast one day at Tiong Baru.

They've survived a week with us.

So far so good.

Jacob Ballas Garden

DADDY and Z had a fun time at the water play area in the park this morning.

The recently opened park, part of the Singapore Botanic Gardens, is a play and discover area for children under 12.

Funny thing about the admission policy is: While children have to be accompanied by an adult, all adults have to be accompanied by a child!

We went about 9.30am and it was packed.

It was also super hot which made it even more fun for Z.

Edward's party part 2

FROM the camera of Edward's grandpa:

Z caught in the act!

The two youngest Koh cousins - for now - because more are on their way soon!

Edward turns two

COUSIN Edward turned two today.

There was a very colourful Bob The Builder cake,

... ball games,

... a bouncy castle,

... and very nearly some unscheduled water play.

Z loved running about on the lush carpet grass and stopped frequently to inspect it.

So fun to tear up!

Sentosa Brunch

HAD a lovely champagne brunch at Sentosa with the Feders and Aunty Jo.

Love this pic which J snapped of the Dads and the kids.

When Z saw Julien on L's shoulders, she immediately demanded a ride too.

Bee-Ball

WE went to watch Lynn and Anna play in the finals of their league.

Z was a great loud cheerleader.

She kept yelling: Leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeynnnn! Nananana!

I'm surprised she didn't lose her voice.

The team we were rooting for came in second overall.

Here she is with her nanny, "Tata".

Finger painting

NEWSPAPERS were laid out before I opened the three pots of colour.

Red and Blue and Green.

I showed Zoe what to do: Finger in pot, finger on paper, repeat.

She got the hang of it pretty quick, even changing colours as she painted.

But after a while, the finger painting became more of a body art experiment.

What a croc

A very high (40+ C) fever hit Sunday.

Zoe was such an angel so I got her a pressie.

As you know, Zoe has a fascination for shoes and handbags (now where does she get that from?) and she's had her eye on a pair of Crocs for a while now.

Zoe loves the bright colours and they are light and airy.

But the best thing is that she can put them on herself.

I'm not a very Croc-y person... but the Mickey Mouse Mary Janes just look so cute on those little feet.

Baby baby

ZOE is beginning to talk.

She knows how to say quite a few words already, beyond 'Mama', 'Papa' and 'Tata' (for the Nanny).

Her favourite words for now are 'good', 'shoes', 'cheese', 'Mo' (for Elmo) and 'Neeeeeey' (for Barney).

Each day, a new word pops out and it amazes me how she is beginning to communicate.

Here's one instance:

At the end of a bath or after swimming, I always wrap Z up in a big white towel and carry her cradle style.

I will rock her and croon: "Baby baby", as if she is a teeny weeny baby being put to sleep all bundled up.

So yesterday when we went swimming, Z decided she had enough. She crawled out of the pool and walked to the towel cabinet nearby. She pointed to the towels and looked at me, saying: "Baby baby".

She wanted to be wrapped up in the towel.

Here's an old photo taken in July just after Z had a swim. She is on a sunbed with Grandpa "baby baby" style.

The Park with Grandpa

LAST weekend, Z went to the park with Grandpa.

Here are some photos from his camera.

I Like It When

THERE was a 20% discount at Borders today so I took Z there to check out the children's books.

We were flipping through a pile when suddenly, Z walks off with one in her hand.

She makes her way to the end of the children's section, sits down on a step and begins to read avidly.

I thought: How cute. I'll buy that book for her.

Then I realise, we already have it. It's her favourite one which I read to her before she sleeps at night.

I just couldn't interest her in another book - and she just refused to give it up.

We nearly had to buy a book we already have!

The Twins

ADAM and Luke are moving out next week which is really sad for Z cos they all get along so well.

The kids are always so excited to see each other.

The twins run towards Z as fast as their little legs will take them. And Z does the same as soon as she spots them.

Big Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

Violet's bikini

THANKS to Violet for handing down her adorable swim togs.

It's a teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini.

For quite a while now, I've been looking everywhere for cute bikinis with a little frilly skirt.

I've now dispatched Kong Kong, who is in Australia, with a mission to find Z these which I found on the net:
