East Coast

THE weather has just been too hot so we thought it'd be cooler along the beach.

Crazy people who don't know how to ride bikes are a menace! I got run over :((((

Anyway, we played in the sand for a while to cool down after a long walk.

E got her feet dirty for the first time and had a first crawl in and first taste of sand!

Emma out and about

IN light of her sister's Birthday Week celebration, poor little Emma hasn't been getting much of the spotlight.

But here are some pics from the camera:

Ethan turns 2

COUSIN Ethan celebrated his second birthday just the day after Zoe celebrated hers.

How funny to think they almost had the same birthday.

A bit of water play...

And then it was time for cake...

Z telling soemone long story and M eyeing the cake...

Party at School

IN a Montessori classroom the birthday child holds the earth or a globe and walks around the sun or a candle.

The walk represents the earth revolving around the sun.

The child walks around as many years old he or she is and stops on the month and date he or she was born.

9 Months (updated)

RIGHT now is a really enjoyable time with the little one.

Emma is just the perfect little cuddly koala at the moment - just the right size, shape and weight.

She is so fun to tote around that I think she's getting quite spoilt with all the carrying! This will prove to be a problem as she grows -heavier!

Emma loves her food - particularly stuff she can feed herself: rice cakes, wafer biscuits, chopped fruit and vege, little cheerio-type crackers.

We are still committed to being Organic... well, 99% of the time. Sometimes I'll let her munch on a bread roll or frozen bagel just so that I can finish my meal in a restaurant (not that I have officially introduced wheat yet into her diet).

Anyway, organic or not, Emma doesn't really care.

In fact, she'll eat anything even if it is not food. EVERYTHING goes into her mouth.

So I finally threw out the remainder of her BM stock. I kept these as they were "infused" with alcohol.

I thought I'd mix it with her food, but in the end: the antibodies vs overworking her little liver... her liver won.

So she's now really truly on formula - goat + cow. At least it is all organic!

Em is starting to display a personality; she is responsive when spoken to, tries to copy our actions (particularly her sister's) and does little tricks to everyone's delight.

She can wave "bye bye", do half a flying kiss, clap and "sleep" on a pillow upon command. This is just too cute as she now goes to "sleep" on everything! It's super sweet when she lays her head on my lap. Awwww

Emma is sprouting her molars to her great irritation - and my angst. Night-time sleeps are interrupted!

The lurve continues to grow between the sisters.

Z can make E laugh like no one else. E is always watching her, trying to take her toys: "Don't disturb JieJie's work Emme".

Z loves to show off E and insists that I drop off and pick her up from school with her little sis in tow. Many kisses exchanged in the day (GERMS!!!!!!).

E is crawling really well, pulls herself into a standing position and does little side steps. I don't remember Zoe cruising so early on. Scary how fast she is already pulling herself up.

Thus I have erected a jail:

E also does the "table top" when she crawls - a prelude to standing on her own?

Hanging with Becky

GOD-SISTER Becky was in town and the two girls had a lovely time catching up.

Headed to the club for an afternoon of art and craft, followed by a nutricious corn dog and curly fries dinner.

Which makes me think: Why do we even bother to go healthy and organic in the first place? In the end, junk food wins!

On another note: Beautiful blue sky days makes me crave a beach holiday - but with a baby in tow?

Happy Easter!

WE woke up to a stormy rainy Easter Sunday.

So instead of going out to brunch we had a treasure hunt at home which began as soon as Z hopped out of bed.

I had made up clues the night before leading her on a trail around the house. Each clue rewarded her with baby eggs until the final clue which netted a big chocolate rabbit.

Lots of laughter and excitement. Fun!

In the afternoon, we headed to Grandma's to share some of her spoils.

(Either that or I'd end up eating them!)

Ariel turns 4

A BUSY Saturday first with a kids party.

There was an amazing balloon lady who I quickly booked for Z's birthday party.

Here are the kids with some of her creations:

And then it was a quick lunch to celebrate Uncle R turning 39!

Z got all sweaty playing with the kids as seen here from Uncle R's great foto skills.

I FIGURE I might as well walk Em for an hour than spend it at the gym.
