Seven months

TIME flies!

Emma smiles and chuckles constantly. She's such a sweet happy little one.

Her legs kick about when she's excited and she's started scooting backwards on her bum, so maybe she'll be on the move soon.

Em has busy hands that grab at anything within - and out of - reach. As everything goes into her mouth, that's especially dangerous, which Grandpa discovered when she swiped the biro out of his pocket.

If her hands aren't on something, then her fingers are in her mouth.

Big news this month: Em sprouted her two bottom teeth and from what I see, they are super crooked!! It's actually in an inverse V formation. Gah! Better start an orthodontic fund.

I think more are on the way as she dribbles and drools and munches on EVERYTHING!! Here with a rice biscuit - very messy!

Aside from ten or so packets of BM stashed in the freezer, E is on cows' milk formula which hasn't been kind to her digestive system.

At first, I thought it was just a transitional thing from BM to formula and introduction of solids but things seemed to be getting ... harder... even after a month. So we went to visit a NAET oesteopath.

So for a week E is detoxing on goats' milk formula. Surprisingly, she didn't even flinch at the swap.

Our dear little one loves her grub just like Mom. She gobbles everything! Her routine now is roughly like this:

0730: 4tbsp oats w 60ml fruit (papaya, apple, pear or banana) + milk (prob half feed)

1130/12nn: 4 tbsp brown rice/carb (potato) + 90 ml green vege (zucchini, broccolli, spinach or peas) or yellow (sweet potato, carrot, or pumpkin) + watered down prune juice

1430: milk

1700: Same amt as lunch but diff combination

1900: milk

0300: milk

But Em seems quite interested in some chewable food which isn't a good idea yet!
