Post dinner stroll

WE had yummy Jap again. Burp.

And then on the way back to the room, Z decided to entertain the Saturday night crowd as they entered Caesars.

Fruit Bars

WE spent a lazy Sunday by the pool.

Z is getting quite a tan.

She shared a croissant with me for breaky and the birds wanted a share too.

They started stalking her which she found hilarious as you can see.

After lunch, I got her some frozen fruit.

At first, she didn't quite know how to go about eating it.

So I showed her. Isn't it funny how people open their mouths when they feed other people, even babies!

Then she got the hang of eating an ice cream.

And when she had enough, I got to polish it all off.

Snoopy

THIS is D's favourite cartoon character.

But Z has no idea who this dog is.

FAO Schwarz

THE Forum Shops are pretty cool, especially the toy store with its Trojan horse.

Now is that Brad Pitt over there?

Z has some fun in Vegas:

Neptune's Pool

THE weather was finally not so hot that we could spend some time by the pool.

So we had lunch and a swim and relaxed for a couple of hours.

There are four pools here. The Apollo Pool is "European style" but even dressed as she was, they wouldn't let Z in.

Being Japanese

WE were SO stuffed from this dinner.

Between the three of us there was a platter of sashimi, beef sukiyaki, grilled salmon, and a bowl of udon. American portions.

Z looks like how both D and I felt.

Z can't believe the size of the "woof woof"'s bust.

Arriving Las Vegas

HAVING just arrived at Caesars Palace, Z runs to the fountain and points up to the naked statues and yells: NAAAAAN NAAAAAN.

Luckily, no one knows what that means here.

Then Z wanted to cool off in the water.

Z just LOVES it here like you wouldn't believe. There's just so much for her to see -masses and masses of people, the crazy blinking lights of the slot machines, entertainers...

Our rooms are pretty comfy too. For the last couple of weeks, Z has been sleeping on the floor in her tent, but here, she gets her own bed.

Check out our amazing view of the Strip - we get to see the Bellagio fountains every night from our room.

Palm Springs

IT has just been way too hot here in the desert.

One day it was 118F and the next 111F, which translates to about 45+C.

So we've been indoors a lot - seeking refuge at the outlets.

To escape the heat, we're heading to Vegas a day early. It is about 5F cooler there.

Anyway some pictures from our week here:

Here we are at the resort, where Z is tucking into a blueberry muffin for breakfast.

Then walking it off back to our villa.

A monster park which Z goes wot with Papa every morning.

Lunch one day: Ruby's diner has great burgers!

At an indoor playground at Westfield SC, where Z held her own with the boys.

All tired out.

The Carousel

Z WAS a little sacred of the horseys but soon got into the swing of things.

I on the other hand felt rather ill from the spinning.

So we were supposed to go to Disneyland today but decided against facing Friday traffic in LA.

We figured Z wouldn't remember any of it anyway.

To make up for it, she had an extra long playtime on the Pier...

...and at her favourite game.
