20 Months

IN January, Zoe discovered the simple joys of:

Face painting with tomato sauce...

a Yakult bottle...

and being a Burger Queen...

Report card #1

ZOE started attending Frontyard Playschool two days a week this month.

She's been loving it.

Today we received this email:

Zoe really has settled in well and is enjoying herself at school.

She has been repeating lots of words in English and also in Mandarin.

She likes to do art and crafts - painting/ colouring and enjoys
playdough as well.

Sings and dances during circle music time and showing recognition with
the songs - Wheels on the Bus and Row Row Row your boat and doing the
actions along with the teacher.

Outdoors she is getting more daring on the swing and loves the sand pit.

More photos from Thanksgiving

THANKS to Bibo these great photos.

Z loved riding in Sasha's wagon:

Strangely, Z likes getting her face creamed - very unkiddley:

As we head for the water, Zoe is a bit apprehensive coz the pool big:

But once she is in, it's all good:

Can you guess from her face that it was time to go home?

Snip slip

TAKEN just before she went to bed - after her hair dried.

Hmm... the haircut turned out a little too short.

Snip snip

I'VE been resisting but I finally had to do it today.

For weeks now, poor Z's hair has been getting in her eyes.

Rub rub. Blink blink.

But each and every strand of hair has always been - and still is - so precious on my little precious' head.

Ok, it wasn't much but it still hurt!

PS: If you are wondering what's on her nose, it's a mozzie bite.

Marathon Uncle

WALKING from the MRT station to the VIP tent was arduous enough.

I can hardly imagine running 10 clicks like Charles - or as she calls it the quarter marathon.

Much less, the full 42 kms that Les ran in hot, humid conditions.

So we did the next best thing: We went to cheer them on!

Unfortunately, Zoe didn't get to see Auntie Charles among the 40,000 strong crowd.

But we did manage to spot Uncles Les as he powered on home:

Hooray! Here is Uncle Les making it to the finish line - in a lime green cap.

PS: Thanks for the shirt Aunty Bernzzz.

Xmas @Centrepoint

CHRISTMAS this year promises lots of fun and laughter.

Zoe loves pointing out the trees, sparkly balls and shiny stars.

And not to mention, breaking the barriers to get to the toy displays!

Thanksgiving

WE celebrated at a friend's pool party.

Z got her own pool - but Dad had to fill it.

But for the little one, he couldn't fill it fast enough!

Here she is in her cute butterfly Submarine swimsuit - unfortunately she doesn't look too impressed with it.

Furniture shopping

RENOVATIONS have begun and hopefully we will be moving into our home by the end of the year.

For the last week or so, Z and I have been busy checking out stuff for the house.

Here is Z with her God-sister Becks at the Robinsons bedding sale on the weekend. Notice how the Dads are so industrious in testing out the goods.

Dinner at Grandma's

THE noodles were delicious!

Z was generous with Grandma:

Then it was time for a drink:

And when the clock struck 8pm (already a veyr late night), Z bid everyone goodnight!

Thanks to Uncle Wei for these great photos.

Prince Bear and Pauper Bear

CELEBRITY Uncle Steve was helping launch his friend's book with his daughter Hayley.

I took Z along to hear a reading of it.

At the end there was a Q&A session and Z decided to go up to the microphone to answer the final one.

A sweet smile and a hearty cheer saw her winning a prize!

Big congratulatory hug from Hales:

Smiling for the paparazzi:

Hayley Jie Jie

HAYLEY adores Z and the feeling is mutual!
